Playstation Backup Software


The general protection of PSX game is that the cds have BAD BLOCKS/SECTORS on'em. So some programs will automatically correct these bad blocks and some will write them like they are to the cd! You'll have to write'em EXACTLY the same to the disc.
Furthermore -> You'll need a MOD chip to play copied games.. without such a chip it won't work -> www.modchip.com
Some cds are also protected with other methods but you won't have any problems to burn the stuff!

Other protections are:
- second data track : some cds may have a second data track. WinOnCD3.6 for example can't burn cds with 2nd data tracks.
- tracks less than 4 sec. long : normally a track has to bee more than 4sec. at least but PSX cds may contain shorter tracks for protection.

PSX BACK
This is absolutely the best software for copying PSX!
I haven't had any problems since I'm using it. It copies bad blocks as well as 4 sec. tracks and second data tracks. It just does everything you want!

These programs are also capable of copying psx games:

CD-RWin 3.7
CD Wizard (not on my page)
and some others too..

If you're having problems with the interface of PSXBack the use one of these but THEY WON'T EVER BE REALLY GOOD!.. -> they can't copy everything.
